Requirements :

Qualification that allows registration the SANC as Nursing Assistant. Current

registration with SANC as an Enrolled Nursing Assistant. Knowledge of Health,

Nursing and Public Service Legislation is recommended. Good communication and sound interpersonal skills are necessary.

Duties :

Assist patients with activities of daily living (physical care). Provide elementary clinical nursing care and maintain professional

growth/ethical standards and self-development. Functional: Demonstrate elementary understanding of Nursing

legislation and related legal and ethical nursing practices. Perform an elementary clinical nursing practice in accordance

with scope of practice and nursing standard as determined by the relevant health facility. Promote quality of

elementary nursing care as directed by professional scope of practice and standard as determined by the relevant

health facility. Generic: Demonstrate elementary communication with patients, supervisors, and other clinicians. Work as

part of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure good nursing care. Work effectively, cooperatively amicably with persons of

diverse intellectual, cultural, racial or religious differences. Display a concern for patients, promoting and advocating

elementary care including awareness to respond to patient’s needs, requirements, and expectations (Batho Pele).

Applications must be submitted by 12h00 (Noon) on the closing date and be

accompanied by a fully completed and signed new Z83 application form obtainable from any Public Service

Department or on the internet at plus a recently updated comprehensive

Curriculum Vitae (CV). Applications without proof of a new Z83 application

form and detailed CV will be disqualified. Applicants must indicate the post

reference number on their applications. (Shortlisted candidates will receive communication from HR to submit

certified copies of educational qualifications and other relevant

documents not older than 6 months on or before the day of the interview). It is the

applicant’s responsibility to have foreign qualifications evaluated by the South

African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). All foreign qualification must be accompanied by evaluation certificate from the South

African Qualification Authority (SAQA). Correspondence will only be limited to shortlisted candidates. Suitable

candidates will be subjected to vetting and personnel pre-employment suitability

checks (criminal record, citizenship, credit record checks, qualification verification

and employment verification). Where applicable, candidates will be subjected to a skills/knowledge test. Medical

Surveillance will be conducted on the recommended candidates. It is Department’s intention to promote
