Job Description:
Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited is seeking an experienced Cleaner for their Centurion store. The responsibilities include maintaining a clean and neat store according to Dis-Chem’s hygienic standards, covering areas such as the store floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and canteen.
Casual Cleaner Minimum Requirements:
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Minimum of 6 months’ cleaning experience
- Proficient in the English language
- Basic customer service skills
- Additional area-specific language skills
- Willingness and ability to work retail hours
Advantageous:
- Bilingual
- Previous retail store cleaning experience
Job Specification:
- Ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the store, including the shop floor and communal areas, before the store opens.
- Establish routines for maintaining all store areas at a high level of cleanliness.
- Keep the canteen and restrooms clean and well-stocked at all times.
- Be available during operational hours for cleaning as needed.
- Use the correct cleaning products and equipment for specific tasks.
- Display a friendly and professional demeanor to assist customers.
- Perform duties in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations.
