Job Description:
Afinta is currently seeking four Drivers to join our team in Rustenburg. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the safe transportation of goods to and from their destinations while strictly adhering to established procedures.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in delivery.
- Valid driver’s license with PDP (Professional Driving Permit) is essential.
- Strong time management skills are essential.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
- Demonstrated honesty and integrity.
- Maintaining sober habits.
- Clear criminal record.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) include, but are not limited to:
Vehicle Inspection:
- Conducting pre-departure and return vehicle inspections.
- Submitting inspection lists to the Dispatch Supervisor every Monday for approval before receiving a new inspection list.
- Reporting any vehicle errors immediately before departure.
- Collaborating with the supervisor to check parcels before loading into the vehicle, adhering to the New Dispatch Loading procedure.
Parcel Delivery:
- Delivering parcels to customers on the designated route as per the provided schedule and trip sheet.
- Ensuring customers follow the Proof of Delivery (POD) procedure.
- Adhering to the Return for Credit (RFC) procedure.
- Delivering all assigned documents and collection slips as indicated on your trip sheet and obtaining POD.
- Signing trip sheets at the POD clerk and ensuring all assigned documents are complete and returned the following day.
- Taking responsibility for outstanding trip sheets and being accountable for any claims related to missing PODs or queries.
- Prohibiting stock transfers between customer shops.
Vehicle Maintenance:
- Maintaining and cleaning the vehicle.
- Promptly reporting any vehicle issues to the Dispatch Supervisor.
- Reporting any delivery or POD-related problems encountered to the Dispatch Supervisor.
