Salary:

  • Grade 1: R1,214,805 per annum (all-inclusive package)
  • Grade 2: R1,386,069 per annum (all-inclusive package)
  • Grade 3: R1,605,330 per annum (all-inclusive package)

Requirements:

  • Qualification allowing registration with HPCSA as Medical Specialist
  • Registration with HPCSA as Medical Specialist
  • Confirmation from College of Medicine regarding FCP II Results
  • No experience required
  • For Grade 1: 0-5 years’ experience, Grade 2: 5-10 years’ experience, Grade 3: 10 years’ experience and above

Duties:

  • Interview, investigate, diagnose, and oversee patient treatment
  • Provide appropriate clinical care to improve quality of care
  • Supervise junior medical staff
  • Perform commuted overtime duties
  • Attend administrative meetings and complete MEDICO Legal Documents
  • Participate in academic program, teaching, and research
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping
  • Report to head of unit on service delivery and quality improvement plans
  • Assist in compliance with National Core Standards
  • Rotate through related departments and outreach programs
  • Prepare and write reports
  • Assist Clinical Head with Administration responsibilities
