REQUIREMENTS : Grade12 or equivalent
qualification. Basic Qualification in Child and Youth
Care Certificate or Certificate in Social
Auxiliary Work will be an added
advantage. Computer literacy. Must not be listed in the National Register for
Sex Offenders. Computer literacy. Drivers’ license will be an added advantage.
Competencies; Good Communication.
Ability to intervene and resolve conflict.
Problem solving. Ability to work with children.
DUTIES : Holistic care of children/youth in conflict with the law in residential care. Serve
on a multi-disciplinary team. Behavior Management of children/youth in conflict
with the law. Development and execution
of residential developmental and
recreational programmes. Writing and presenting reports. Mentoring and
counseling individual young people. Willingness to learn. Willingness to work
shifts and weekends.
