Requirements:
- Minimum educational qualification: Ability to read and write.
- Experience: Appropriate experience in cleaning and waste management.
- Inherent requirement of the job: Willingness to work shift duty and rotate in different departments. Ability to effectively communicate in at least two of the three official languages spoken in the Western Cape.
Competencies (Knowledge/Skills):
- Must have knowledge of routine cleaning processes and handling cleaning equipment.
- Ability to effectively communicate in at least two of the three official languages spoken in the Western Cape.
- Physical ability to perform tasks and operate heavy-duty cleaning equipment.
Cleaner (X2 Posts) Duties:
- Responsible for cleaning duties including sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, polishing, deep cleaning of toilets, waste management, and maintaining general neatness and hygiene in the area.
- Execute terminal cleaning effectively in isolated areas like ICU.
- Ensure that cleaning equipment is clean after usage and securely stored.
- Use cleaning agents effectively and practice elementary stock control.
- Provide optimal support to supervisor and colleagues.
