Qualifications
· National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Public Relations, or Communications and Media Studies
Experience
· A keen eye for aesthetics and details
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent writing skills with exceptional grammar and spelling
· Attention to detail
· Microsoft Office and Creative Cloud
· Strong visual storytelling skills
· An ability to work methodically in a fast-paced and changing environment while honoring deadlines
Intern Key performance areas
· Assist the Communications team in implementing all communications activities at the mine
· Conduct interviews, gather and write news articles to raise the profile for the company
· Write and proofread content for the company’s communication platforms
· Take high-resolution action photographs for the company’s communication platforms
· Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
· Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
· Work with copywriter and creative director to produce final design
Additional requirements
· Medical Certificate of Fitness
· An ability to travel as and when required
