Job Description:

BUCO Kempton Park is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. As the Machine Operator, you will be responsible for various tasks related to machine operation, maintenance, and customer service. Your role will involve ensuring the smooth functioning of the machine, attending to customers’ needs, and maintaining a safe and tidy work environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine machine maintenance tasks to keep the equipment in optimal condition.
2. Safely and efficiently feed materials into the machine for processing.
3. Adjust machine settings according to specific job requirements.
4. Monitor and regulate the speed of the machine belt to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
5. Regulate the temperature settings to achieve desired results.
6. Ensure precise edge trimming and sanding of materials.
7. Provide excellent customer service while assisting customers with their queries and needs.
8. Maintain a clean and organized workspace through regular housekeeping.
9. Execute various operator functions to support the overall production process.
10. Uphold safety and security measures to protect both personnel and equipment.
11. Keep the cutting area tidy and organized for efficient operations.
12. Report any stock shortages promptly to ensure smooth workflow.
13. Adhere strictly to the company’s safety policy and procedures to minimize risks.
14. Report any machine failures or malfunctions immediately for swift resolution.
15. Participate in periodic stock-take activities to ensure accurate inventory records.
16. Promote and embody the company’s values and culture in all interactions.

Requirements:

1. Minimum educational qualification: Grade 12 (Matric).
2. At least 1 year of relevant industrial experience in machine operation.
3. Strong administrative and numeracy skills to manage job-related tasks effectively.
4. Excellent people skills to provide outstanding customer service.
