Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated student to join our Launch & Change Control team in Pretoria. As a student, you will have the opportunity to contribute to various initiatives and projects aimed at improving processes, tracking releases and deviations, implementing automation solutions, and supporting assembly operations during the NSG build. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced automotive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the team to drive the adoption of new processes, such as enhancing the TIK List with APEX and tracking deviations through ECP.
Develop a Power BI Launch Dashboard for effective tracking of releases and deviations.
Assist in the implementation of new Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Bots for tasks related to demand checks, double part number identifications, and other potential uses for Bill of Materials (BOM) and demand improvements.
Provide support in steering part availability, managing deviations, and troubleshooting assembly issues during the NSG build.
Generate daily deviation tracking reports and contribute to IPT status reporting and parts tracking.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Industrial Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
Familiarity with work instructions and procedures of BMW (SA) (Pty) Ltd.
Proficiency in operating personal computers and standard MS Office programs
